FloPlast 68mm Round Pipe FAQ
Which guttering profiles does this downpipe fit? The 68mm round downpipe is incredibly versatile. It is the designated drop system for the FloPlast 112mm Half Round, 115mm Hi-Cap (Deepflow), and 110mm Niagara Ogee gutter systems.
How far apart should the downpipe clips be spaced? To ensure the pipe is held securely against the wall, downpipe clips should be spaced at a maximum of 1.8 metres apart. We also highly recommend placing a clip immediately below the gutter outlet and just above the shoe at the bottom of the run.
How do I join two lengths of downpipe together? FloPlast 68mm downpipes feature a plain end and a socketed end. To join them, simply push the plain end of one pipe into the socketed end of the next. If you are joining two plain ends that have been cut to size, you will need to use a FloPlast 68mm Pipe Socket.
Can I attach a water butt to this downpipe? Absolutely. The 68mm round pipe is the standard size for residential rainwater harvesting. You simply need to cut a small section out of the pipe and insert a standard FloPlast Rainwater Diverter, which will automatically funnel water into your butt and allow excess to flow down the drain once it is full.
