When to Use Moulded Ogee G46

Choose moulded ogee G46 over Victorian ogee when the property is a large detached house, country house, or estate property where a more substantial gutter suits the scale of the building, a public building such as a church, school, town hall, or library, or when the original guttering was moulded ogee and a like for like replacement is required. The wider channel also makes moulded ogee suitable for properties with larger roof areas where Victorian ogee may not provide enough capacity.

Can I use Victorian ogee brackets with moulded ogee? No. Moulded ogee G46 is wider than Victorian ogee and requires its own specific brackets.

Does it need painting? Yes. Supplied primed, must be painted before installation and repainted every 3 to 5 years.

Is moulded ogee heavier than Victorian ogee? Yes. The wider, deeper profile means more material and more weight per length. Ensure fascia boards are in excellent condition and use heavy duty fixings. Two people essential for installation.
