The FloPlast 50mm Round Downpipe is the dedicated companion to the 76mm Miniflo guttering system. Specifically designed for smaller structures where standard 68mm pipework would look bulky and disproportionate, this compact downpipe is perfect for sheds, greenhouses, summerhouses, porches, and single garages. It provides a neat, unobtrusive way to channel rainwater away from the foundations of your outbuildings, or directly into a water butt for garden use. At Gutters.co.uk, we supply the complete range of 50mm pipes, clips, bends, and shoes with fast UK delivery.
Why Choose FloPlast 50mm Round Pipe?
Perfectly Scaled: The narrow 50mm diameter provides a clean, proportional look that won't overwhelm small timber fascias or narrow outbuilding walls. Lightweight & Durable: Manufactured from high-quality uPVC, meaning it is completely weather-resistant, will never rust or rot, and requires zero painting. Simple Push-Fit Assembly: Designed for quick and easy DIY installation. The pipes and fittings simply slot together without the need for specialist tools or adhesives. Seamless Colour Matching: Available in standard Black, White, Brown, and Grey to perfectly match your Miniflo guttering and blend into your garden environment.
FloPlast 50mm Round Pipe FAQ
Which guttering system does this downpipe fit? The 50mm round downpipe is specifically designed to connect to the FloPlast 76mm Miniflo guttering system. It is too small to be used with standard 112mm half-round or square line residential gutters.
How do I divert water from this pipe into a water butt? It is incredibly easy. You just need to install a FloPlast Mini Rain Diverter into the downpipe run. This will catch the rainwater and channel it through a hose directly into your water butt, while allowing excess water to flow down the pipe when the butt is full.
How far apart should the downpipe clips be spaced? To keep the pipe secure against the wall of your shed or porch, downpipe clips should be spaced at a maximum of 1.8 metres apart vertically. We also recommend placing a clip just below the gutter drop and just above the shoe at the bottom.
Can I use this downpipe on my main house? We do not recommend it. The 50mm diameter does not have the flow capacity to handle the volume of water running off a standard domestic roof, which would quickly lead to blockages and overflowing gutters. For a standard house, you should use a 68mm round or 65mm square downpipe.
