Osma RoundLine Downpipe Components
68mm Downpipe Lengths available in 2.75m and 4m lengths. 68mm diameter circular profile. Available in black, white, grey, and brown.
Downpipe Clips wall fixing clips to secure the downpipe to the building. Fix at maximum 1.8m intervals using two 32mm x 6.5mm round head screws. Use wall plugs for masonry fixing.
Pipe Shoes fitted at the bottom of the downpipe to direct water away from the wall and into the drain. Position approximately 25mm above ground level or the drain grate.
Offset Bends used in pairs to create a swan neck, bringing the downpipe from the gutter outlet back to the wall face. Essential on most installations where the fascia overhangs the wall below.
92.5 Degree Bends used where the downpipe needs to change direction, for example at the base of the wall to connect to underground drainage.
Pipe Branches allow two downpipes to merge into one, reducing the number of connections to underground drainage.
Access Pipe a downpipe section with a removable front panel for clearing blockages without dismantling the pipe run.
Pipe Connectors used to join two lengths of downpipe together in a straight run.
Start by fitting two offset bends to the bottom of the gutter running outlet to create a swan neck that brings the pipe back to the wall. Measure the distance between the bends and cut a short piece of pipe to connect them. From the bottom of the swan neck, run the downpipe straight down to the drain. Fix downpipe clips to the wall at maximum 1.8m intervals using wall plugs and screws. Fit the top section of pipe first and work downwards. At the bottom, fit a pipe shoe to direct water into the drain. If connecting to 110mm underground drainage, use a rainwater adaptor such as the FloPlast D96.
Osma 68mm Downpipe FAQ
Can I use Osma 68mm downpipe with FloPlast guttering? The pipe diameter is the same at 68mm, but the outlet connection dimensions may differ between brands. Check compatibility before mixing or use a gutter adaptor at the connection point.
How do I connect the downpipe to underground drainage? Use a rainwater adaptor to connect the 68mm downpipe to standard 110mm underground drainage pipe. The adaptor fits over the downpipe shoe or base and reduces into the drainage pipe.
How far apart should downpipe clips be? Maximum 1.8m apart. Always fit a clip within 150mm of any bend, branch, or fitting.
What colours does the 68mm downpipe come in? Black, white, grey, and brown to match the RoundLine gutter system.
Can I use 68mm downpipe with SuperLine or RoofLine? No. SuperLine and RoofLine require 110mm downpipe due to the higher water volume they handle.
How do I clear a blocked downpipe? Try flushing with a garden hose from the top. If the blockage persists, use drain rods or a plumber's snake. If your downpipe has an access pipe section, open the front panel to reach the blockage directly. To prevent future blockages, fit a drain guard to the top of the downpipe.
