Does Cascade Roundstyle really look like cast iron? Yes. The textured finish is designed to closely replicate the appearance of painted cast iron. From ground level the difference is very difficult to spot. It is widely used on period properties and in conservation areas as a cost effective alternative to genuine cast iron.

Is Cascade Roundstyle accepted in conservation areas? Many local planning authorities accept cast iron style PVC as a suitable replacement for cast iron. However some authorities on listed buildings or in stricter conservation areas may require genuine cast iron or cast aluminium. Always check with your local conservation officer before replacing.

Is Cascade Roundstyle compatible with FloPlast half round? No. Although both are 112mm half round, the cast iron style fittings have different dimensions and connections. Do not mix standard PVC and cast iron style components. Use a gutter adaptor if connecting the two systems.

How long does Cascade Roundstyle last? Like all PVC guttering, Brett Martin Cascade will last 20 to 30 years or more with basic maintenance. Unlike genuine cast iron it will never rust and never needs painting.

What downpipe does Cascade Roundstyle use? The 68mm cast iron style round downpipe with matching textured finish. Brett Martin also offer a 65mm square downpipe and 105mm round downpipe in the Cascade range.

Does Cascade come in any colour other than black? The standard Cascade Roundstyle finish is black cast iron effect. This is the traditional colour for cast iron guttering on period properties.
